How do I join the Geelong 4WD Club?
If you are interested in joining the Geelong 4WD Club why don't you come along to one of our general meetings to introduce yourself and meet other members of the club. Prospective members are also welcome to come along to any of our trips to get an idea if this is the right club for you. You can also check out some of the trip reports and trip photos right here on the website to get an idea of what we do. If you feel this is the club for you, then you need to fill in and submit an application form at a General Meeting. You will then be need to be voted into the club and pay the appropriate membership fees at a subsequent General Meeting.
Where and when are the club meetings held?
Monthly meetings are held at the Abe Wood Reserve, Corner of Edgerton & Evans Roads Lovely Banks on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. Visitors and new members welcome. For more information contact Byron Willey, club president or check out our contacts list for other details.
What are the membership fees?
The club year runs from 1st June to 31st May. Membership fees for the first year are calculated on a pro rata basis, depending on the month of joining. Click here for the current membership fees for the Geelong 4WD Club.
How do I submit a trip report for the club magazine?
To submit a trip report for the club magazine, simply type the report and email it to the Editor using the contacts information found on the website or in the club magazine. Alternatively, the report can be given to the editor in hardcopy at any of the club general meetings.
How do I add photos to the club website?
To add photos to the club website simply email them to the Webmaster using the contacts information found on the website or in the club magazine. Alternatively, the photos can be given to the Webmaster in any electronic format (CD, DVD, Memory Stick etc) at any of the club general meetings.
I have moved - how do I change my address details?
If you have moved or changed any of your contact details, please inform the Secretary using the contacts information found on the website or in the club magazine.
I would like to go on a trip to somewhere that isn't listed
If you would like to go on a trip that hasn’t been listed, simply contact the Trip Coordinator with details on where you would like to go, what you would like to do, and if any other people you know are interested in going. If there is enough interest in the trip then it will go ahead.
I would like to do the driver training course but it isn't listed on the calendar
If you would like to attend the driver training course, simply contact the Driver Training Coordinator and put your name down. As soon as enough people are interested in attending, a course will be scheduled.
